More now, than ever before, I’m learning how habits pop up when on autopilot from working more than I’m used to. Life has started to fly at me. It’s one thing after another all the time, and it’s forcing me to be present.

Hitting this kind of stride pushes us, and as a result we find ourselves acting habitually more than ever. For example, because now I have so much time and attention focused on what I need to be doing, I’ve noticed habits are the things that keep me going. Because I have less time to think about what I’m doing, I act based on established patterns. I know this is why being older generally means being able to manage more. Building healthy habits that allow us to work more into our lives is key.
