You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only person who is committed to living a great life surrounded by people that I love and doing what I love for work. It’s 2021 and we’re on the verge of a whole new world. One where we are more connected than we’ve ever been before. JFK and Dr. King were a half century ahead of their time, and in our lifetime we’ll see their dream of a free, open society come to fruition.
It’s been a dark time, but we have to remember that oppression creates light in the same way pressure turns carbon into something beautiful. The harder things get, the greater people will resist and the stronger we will become as a global community. People are becoming wiser to the older system of control and working to being embodiments of light in the world.
I constantly ask myself how I can be a part of the mission to raise awareness and help create the peaceful world I imagine. It’s become clear that constant, steady effort towards your dreams whether personal or global is what creates real change. Consider this, work too hard and you’ll burn yourself out, but work too little and you won’t make headway and might give up your dream all together. The key is to work at what you love everyday, find what you like to do and do it until you’re tired, and then rest until you’re ready to keep going. Changing the world is about taking actionable steps toward the future you desire each day.
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” - Mahatma Gandhi
Be yourself! You’ll make the greatest impact on the people around you by being authentic. Change is coming, do you want to be someone who helps or hurts our legacy as a global community? Be The Light.
