God gives blessings or lessons. Growth requires both. Lessons means you are course correcting. A blessing is a gift, a break from the teaching that life has to give to us.

Some might say that if you are comfortable, you are not encountering either. Being comfortable for too long teaches the hardest lesson that life can give. To know your potential and what could have been and not act on it is stinging. Whether it takes a day, a year, a decade or an entire lifetime for someone to realize that they have not been living for today and working towards their life's mission, the result is regret. The level of regret depends on the length of time. So, still lessons or blessings.

Blessings come from being uncomfortable and working to be your best self, honestly. Lessons come from being comfortable and not moving forward when your intuition tells you to do so. We're put here to make choices and when we make the right decision, we're rewarded, and when we make the wrong decision, we're taught a lesson.
