Prioritization is the difference between seeing your family for the weekend or working. Priorities shift as you age; there's different phases of life.
It is natural to want something more for yourself. To dream big and achieve whatever life can give. The road to get there isn't always paved. No, the road less traveled is where all the magic happens. It's impossible to walk every road in the average eighty years. It's possible to walk quite a few, but not every road. So, achievement is all about choosing roads. Which roads are the priority?
Recently, I've noticed that family is a larger priority of mine. Not always blood related, but the people that care for me in my life. Those people are my family. Those closest to me are the people I choose to communicate with because they are my priority. The work life I prioritize is my passion fused with practicality. I find value in growing myself in this way. I prioritize my creativity because it is fruitful in emotion and work. I prioritize my writing, piano, journalling; connecting with myself because it brings me joy.
"I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference. - Robert Frost
Take a look at what you are prioritizing. I have five things I reflect on: relationships, spirituality, health, creativity, and purpose. When you know what you want, the universe can serve. Show gratitude for experience and define yourself with character, respect, and discipline to prioritize yourself and find what you're made of.
