Fame or going viral is popularized by today and yesterday's movement to social media. Oftentimes it can be easy to dismiss these people as having been 'lucky' or otherwise not deserving of their moment or, as sometimes happens, continued fame. However, usually the luck is really a combination of belief in oneself, conscious effort to make their thought a reality, and natural or grown talent. For example, artists typically spend months, and oftentimes years perfecting their craft before their hit single or album blows up. It's dedicated effort even if it appears to be luck.
People should consider, "what do I desire?" because being able to create anything requires that we blow by people's criticisms of ourselves. Which isn't easy. To be able to fully pursue something we need validation that it is the right decision which is easy to get externally because there is a societal 'norm' of what we should be. Maybe our parents wanted us to be a lawyer or a doctor, but what's the point of living a life someone else wants you to? Sure it makes them happy and maybe their validation will temporarily satisfy the desire for fulfillment, but you'll find yourself empty. In the quiet part of your heart and mind, you'll find yourself missing. God help you if you make it to your death bed living someone else's ideals for you. You'll see that it could have all been different. That you can do magic. You can do anything you desire. You'll always fight harder for your dreams than you would for someone else's ideals for you.
So it is important to find what you want. When you find what you want, you can dedicate yourself to it, and there will be a long time without result. Slow growth. Then one day, everything will change. You'll find yourself in a whole new reality, that you've helped to create for yourself. And the best part is, you will have seen it from the start. Dream big. It's all possible if you allow it to yourself.
"When we finally got down to something, which the individual says he really wants to do, I will say to him, you do that and forget the money, because, if you say that getting the money is the most important thing, you will spend your life completely wasting your time. " - Alan Watts
