"I took the road less traveled by and that has made all the difference." - Robert Frost

I walked the Path of the Gods, a famous hike that includes breathtaking landscapes and views of the Amalfi Coastline, to Positano, the largest city in the Amalfi Coast. The Path of the Gods gets its name from the views above the countryside that make any traveler interested to note the beauty of the landscape from far above the cities below them. There are hints of the past along the hike like small farms and homes that seem to be hundreds of years in the past. The whole thing is a whimsical experience ending in a thousand steps down to Positano.

On the hike I ran into a man named Sébastian from France, and we walking together and he told tales of the beauty of South America, Asia (including some of the most beautiful palaces and tropical forests with monkeys and other animals). When we arrived in Positano, he welcomed me to the city, and we parted when I went to have dinner, write and watch the sunset over smooth water.

I watched as the people played on the beach, the boats moved about the harbor, and travelers flowed in and out of the city. It was surreal to notice the people shift as the skyline turned orange. There was an understanding and a love for each other that came from people even in passing by. The city was connected by the beauty of a paradise which was a treasure that we all shared. It was a fabulous experience and a beautiful city.
